Frank Deane, Chairman REPORT for 2016

A year of capacity building, continuous quality improvement and consolidation.

We are at the midway point of the 3-Year Strategic Plan for 2015-18 .Capacity building continued into 2015-16, when we opened another new Sensory group home in June, making a total of 13 group homes, across 11 different locations in the Sydney metropolitan, Shoalhaven and Nepean areas.

To support these group homes, the Group Home Support Centre in North Rocks has had a face-lift to cope with the demands made upon this socially inclusive centre. In addition to many resident and employee activities, Forsight Australia shares this centre with Community groups, Rotary, Inner Wheel, Trefoil and Probus.

Trish Wetton, CEO REPORT for 2016

Consolidation, CQI and Communication in Forsight Australia Sensory Group Homes.

I am pleased to present my Report for 2016. Last year I reported on the significant change for such a small organisation and spoke of our goal for 2015-16 to be a year of Consolidation.

Forsight Australia opened one more group home in 2016, bringing our total to 13, together with our Group Home Support Centre in North Rocks. The year 2014-15 was a year of significant growth, when we opened five new group homes almost at the same time, making 2015-16 very different by comparison.

Forsight Australia remains a Specialist service, a trans-disciplinary organisation where resident privacy is respected, professionalism and sharing of knowledge is communicated equally with members of ‘One Forsight One Team’ to ensure the best outcome is achieved for each resident.

Thank you to HM’s and DSW’s.
Following a successful 2015 AGM on 28 October 2015, I would like to congratulate all House Managers and Disability Support Workers who accompanied residents on the night. Everyone dressed up for the occasion looking wonderful, happy and relaxed for dinner.
